Over half of UK consumers would consider buying a tablet PC, with many choosing the device over a laptop, a new survey has revealed.
According to research from price comparison site Kelkoo, 54 per cent of Brits are open to the idea of buying a tablet, of which a third intend to make their purchase in the next six months.
35 per cent said they would choose a tablet PC over a notebook, and the majority (69 per cent) of consumers would opt for the iPad over rival devices. 15 per cent went for the Samsung Galaxy Tab (which goes on sale next Monday) and 11 per cent chose the BlackBerry Playbook.
