Logitech moved to clarify recent claims that more Google TV-powered Logitech Revue devices had been returned than were sold in the last financial quarter.
The firm issued a statement saying "this is simply not the case," adding that Logitech sells to distributors and retailers, not consumers.
As such the larger returns than sales amounts to a channel pushback of unsold inventory rather than consumers opting to return the devices. Logitech announced that the price of the Revue would be dropped to $99 to stimulate demand.
Logitech said consumer returns of the Logitech Revue were "at levels comparable to other Logitech products."
The firm also pointed towards an expected version 2 of Google TV, a service which has been blamed on poor sales of the Revue with users complaining about the service is over complicated.
Google TV version 2 will be based on Android 3.1 and will be automatically pushed out to existing Logitech Revue owners. The update will reportedly offer a simplified user interface and Android Market access.
