Peripherals and accessories vendor Logitech has used this year’s CeBIT to announce two new universal remote controls and a laptop speaker.

The Harmony 650 is priced at £69.99 and also replaces up to five other controllers. A colour screen shows icons of the user’s favourite channels, as well as various commands, and can provide help if needed.
Both remote controls feature one-click activity buttons automatically turn on the right devices and select the appropriate input settings. According to Logitech, they support over 5,000 brands and 225,000 devices.
The Z205 laptop speaker is USB-powered, with a clip-on design that attaches the device to any netbook or notebook. The speaker also features stereo sound from two high-performance drivers, a built-in amp and an acoustically tuned enclosure. Priced at £34.99, including a carry case.
