LightScribe technology looks set to be the next big leap in duplication technology, with CD Writer stressing that retailers and resellers are missing a trick by not stocking the devices."LightScribe duplicators offer margins and profits exceeding those of normal tower DVD and CD duplicators," said managing director of specialist distributor CD-Writer Nic Ranshaw.
"The introduction of our LightScribe duplicators really does represent a turning point in the way people approach disc publishing," he added.
"Traditionally, if a tower duplicator customer wished to produce a disc that is both copied and labelled, they would have to purchase a separate printer," stated Ranshaw. "We have transformed the process, making production simpler and reducing expenditure."
Ranshaw said that the StorDigital range, which is CD Writer's own-brand range of duplicators, in particular were well positioned to help retailers and resellers take advantage of the predicted upswing. "There is a real advantage for any reseller presently listing competitor's systems to start selling StorDigital's LightScribe towers."
