Kyocera has launched a rebate scheme aimed at discouraging resellers from stocking cheaper compatible third party toner.
Its Consumables Direct and Consumables Business Partner Programmes are aimed at distribution and reseller and offer sales and marketing support, as well as financial support.
Distributors Westcoast, Midwich and Spicers have already given their backing to the new programmes.
Kyocera has promised to act hard and fast on companies associated with non-authorised supply of ink. "We believe by implementing these programmes, Kyocera is tackling the issue of non-original toner successfully," commented Kyocera's consumables and spares manager, Charlotte Elmer.
"We have a strong process in place to deal with non-genuine product and the companies associated with this trading. We hope by getting partners on board, we can continue to sell genuine toner and see a growth in our consumables business in the forthcoming quarter."
