Avid has signed up Koch Media as a new UK distributor for its Avid Studio and Pinnacle Studio video editing software, as well as its Avid Pro Tools recording bundles.
The software packages are designed to bring professional standard video and audio editing software to the consumer market, and are aimed primarily at the ‘prosumer’ category.
“Avid has a fantastic range of consumer products and we’re looking forward to maximising their potential through our distribution channels. The video editing range of products has a rock solid reputation; and there is a big gap in the market for consumer music creation hardware/software,” said Koch Media’s vendor relations manager, Fiona Cannon.
Avid’s retail distribution manager Steven Webb added: “We’re excited to be working with Koch Media in the UK. They have a great reputation as a leader in the digital entertainment market, with excellent results in other territories. With them on board we’re certain our flagship consumer video and audio products will expand their reach in the marketplace starting immediately.”
