A market researcher has stated that Amazon may have sold as many as two million units of its Kindle Fire tablet.
The CEO of eDataSource, Carter Nicholas, told CNet that there had been around 850,000 units sold directly by Amazon, but said that total sales could be in excess of two million if you include channel sales.
The device is currently Best Buy’s best selling tablet, having seen sales increase by 63 per cent during October and November.
“Even before the busy holiday shopping weekend, we'd already sold millions of the new Kindle family and Kindle Fire was the bestselling product across all of Amazon.com,” said Amazon’s Kindle vice president, Dave Limp in a recent release.
