Networking specialist aims to extend internet connectivity into every room in the home

John Lewis to stock TP-Link home networking products

John Lewis has partnered with the networking specialist TP-Link to stock its products in 35 stores and online.

The retailer will offer the networking specialist’s home networking product range, including powerline adapters, wireless range extenders and wireless adapters. The products, which are distributed by Exertis Micro-P, aim to extend both wired and wireless internet connections into every room in the house.

“We are seeing increasing demand for home networking products,” said En-Ni Chi, Buyer for Consumer Accessories at John Lewis.

“Most home entertainment gadgets require online connectivity and with a rise in the number of networked appliances in the home, there’s a need for network accessories that allow home users to connect multiple devices simultaneously to the Internet. TP-Link will provide a reliable option for our customers.”

“Demand for greater connectivity in the home is driving the necessity for powerlines and range extenders with the rise of the digital home,” added Eric Wang, Country Manager of TP-Link UK.

“Consumer perception of these products has changed as they move towards becoming an essential part of home connectivity. Our association with John Lewis adds further credibility to our reliable and user-friendly home networking product range. This deal further extends our reach and enables us to effectively target the premium customer market.”
