John Lewis has reported growth exceeding its competitors, following a successful Christmas trading period.The department store chain bucked the general trend seen on the UK High Street this Christmas, announcing a rise of eight per cent in its trading figures year on year.
It added that the January sales period had gotten off to "a fabulous start," and said that it expected sales to continue at a similar pace.
