Analyst adds that Apple wearable tech will debut alongside iPhone 6 in September

iWatch to enter production this month – report

Apple’s iWatch will start production this month in time for a September release, an analyst has claimed.

Citing discussions he had with an anonymous ‘technology supply chain company’ source (via UberGizmo), Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald said that production of initial components for the long-rumoured wearable device will begin later in June, before accelerating to meet the Q4 release date.

White described the iWatch as a ‘companion device’, stating that the smartwatch would require a connection to an iPhone to function.

He added that the release of the next generation of the iPhone – the iPhone 6 – would accompany the iWatch’s announcement.
