A survey by PCR has found that a large majority of IT retailers feel that tablet PCs are not just a fad, and are here to stay.
The study found an overwhelming consensus that the devices are likely to hold longevity in the market, and the slew of new products due for release next year, coupled with Apple’s success with the iPad suggests that they could be right.
Although some would argue that the tablet market never really went away, the advent of touchscreen technology, coupled with the development of mobile processors and a huge software ecosystem, has given the sector a much needed boost to the mass market.
