In a series of TV adverts broadcast yesterday, Apple has confirmed the iPhone will launch on June 29th in the US.
The news was later confirmed by a spokesman for the firm. However a release date for Europe and the rest of the world has yet to be announced, reported the BBC.
The adverts highlighted a number of the device’s key features, such as internet connectivity, video playback and the touch screen interface.
The iPhone, which was announced last January at MacWorld, will sell for $499 (£251) and $599, depending on configuration.
