Apple has announced that it sold in excess of 4m iPhone 4S handsets in the device’s first three days of availability.
That works out at around 55,555 units per hour, or 926 units per second. It's also twice as many as iPhone 4 sold in the same period.
In addition, since its release earlier last week around 25m Apple customers are already using the new iOS 5 software while around 20m customers have signed up to iCloud.
