Enta has become the latest distributor to carry Intel's core processor line up, as the vendor looks to strengthen its ties with SMB buying groups such as Brigantia and NBG.The deal sees Enta become the sixth UK distributor to carry Intel's core processor line up, alongside Arrow, Avnet, Computer 2000, Hammer and Ingram Micro. It also carries Intel's motherboard, building blocks and networking portfolios.
Speaking about the deal, Enta's vice president Jon Atherton told CRN: "We are very excited about this tier-one franchise. Enta predominantly focuses on the SME/SMB buying group space and Intel has committed to us to go after that channel for them."
Intel's UK channel sales and marketing manager Gerald Grattoni added that Enta's experience had made it the natural choice to target SMBs. "Enta Technologies' 17 years of experience as a component and IT services supplier will efficiently complement Intel current distribution network.
"Intel remains committed to support the UK and Ireland channel and we are confident that the addition of Enta Technologies will successfully strengthen our support model and accessibility to the UK and Ireland Intel Channel Programme."
