Ingram Micro, the world's largest IT distributor, has appointed Matthew Sanderson as new UK managing director, and Johan Vandenbussche as regional vice president for Benelux and the UK.
Sanderson will lead the firm's UK operations from the Maidenhead and Milton Keynes offices as of January 1st. He is currently senior director and general manager for volume business unit and consumer for Ingram Micro's Australian division.
Last month Pablo Suarez, the man previously appointed as UK MD, resigned before he could take on the role.
Vandenbussche takes on his new role immediately, and will be based in Brussels. Prior to his new appointment he was vice president of business development.
“Johan’s expanded role builds on his in-depth knowledge of the Belgian and U.K. marketplaces, where he has led the operations successfully in both countries in recent years," said Alain Maquet, senior executive vice president Ingram Micro, and president ofIngram Micro EMEA. "He brings strong relationships with both vendors and customers, and a focus on delivering excellent performance.”
On Sanderson's appointment, Maquet added: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Matt back to Europe and to his native England. Matt is a seasoned professional with a long track record of success within Ingram Micro and within the IT distribution industry. He is an excellent addition to our management team given his understanding of the UK. marketplace, as well as his global experience gained through our Australia business.”
