Ingram Micro’s recently appointed managing director, Matt Sanderson has stated that his company’s focus for 2010 will be “external re-engagement” and market share growth.
Talking to PCR, Sanderson said that the company had spent most of 2009 streamlining its own internal structure, in an effort t reduce costs and improve efficiency.
“While that was necessary and served the business well from an efficiency perspective, we became internally focused. 2010 is our year of external re-engagement,” Sanderson told PCR.
He went on to say that Ingram would be looking to enter an expansion phase this year: “We absolutely have an appetite to grow our market share and will look to do so in various parts of our business. I’m pleased to report that we are integrating our recent CCD acquisition well and look forward to further developing our offer in the value space.”
