Customers will have greater access to Dell products

Ingram Micro expands Dell team and services

Ingram Micro has announced a series of enhancements to its Dell team across technical sales and services.

The distributor teamed up with Dell last year, and has since expanded its resources dedicated to Dell pre-sales technical support, as well as increasing the number of sales to help build a Dell business unit.

Ingram’s customers will now have greater access to resources with knowledge of Dell products and services within the enterprise space.

The configuration unit at Ingram’s distribution centre is also now authorised by Dell to implement Configure to Order solutions and leasing options through Dell Financial Services, which will be available in May.

Speaking at Dell’s roadshow, Brent McCarty, MD and VP at Ingram Micro, said: “We have developed new services and made investments to create a robust Dell solution.

“The breadth of technical expertise in our team takes our knowledge of Dell’s technology to a level that enables us to have deeper and wider conversations with our customers across the whole product portfolio.”

The Dell team at the distributor has completed 130 accreditations covering Dell’s server, storage and advanced storage tracks.

Sarah Shields, executive director and general manager at Dell, added: “This growth is a sign of the great investment Ingram Micro has put into working with Dell.

“The increase in its team will provide customers with additional access to expertise and gives Ingram Micro increased sales opportunities.”
