Mobile operator Vodafone has begun offering the new HTC Sensation Android ‘superphone’ for ‘free’ up front on a £35 a month contract.
The HTC Sensation is the latest in the firm’s popular range of top shelf Android smartphones and the first to come equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core processor.
The large-screen 4.3-inch smartphone boasts a higher scree resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and is armed with an 8 megapixel rear camera and HTC’s latest iteration of the Sense Android front-end.
It’s expected to go head to head with the other dual-core Android phone to launch recently, the similarly specced Samsung Galaxy S II.
Calling the offer a pre-order, Vodafone says that orders will be shipped by the 19th of May. Those that opt to pay £199 up front can obtain the HTC Sensation on a £25 contract.
