New smartphone will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

HTC One Mini: Image and release leaked

HTC is reportedly preparing to release a smaller version of its flagship HTC One smartphone this summer.

Engadget has posted leaked images of the One Mini, claiming trusted sources are in possession of the 4.3-inch device.

The site also reports that sources have confirmed that the phone will come with the same metallic unibody as the One as well as Beats Audio branding. However the Mini’s front will be ringed with plastic, presumably in a bid to reduce weight.

The handset will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will have a 1.4GHz dual-core setup, according to the sources.

Bloomberg has reported that the device will be release in August and says the device is likely to have a less-powerful Qualcomm processor and lower-resolution screen than the One.
