Both HP and Acer appear to be shifting emphasis on their low-cost laptop operations, with both increasing their orders with ODM Wistron.According to sources, both companies have increased their orders of sub-$600 laptops from the ODM. Acer has, according to the sources, increased their shipment orders by one million units.
Dell has also added a total of about two million low-cost models, continuing the trend it started earlier this year.
