UK software publisher completes rebranding by dropping company name

GSP changes name to Avanquest Software Publishing

As of today, UK based consumer software publisher GSP will be known as Avanquest Software Publishing.

The change of company name is the final stage of GSP’s incremental rebranding, which has been taking place since Avanquest Software acquired the firm in May last year.

However, the GSP name will live on as the company’s budget software label.

“GSP built its success through a combination of hard work, inventiveness, strong business relationships and a determination to succeed," said managing director Dave Brass. "It is with a little sadness that we say goodbye to the GSP company name, but we look forward to applying those principles to Avanquest Software Publishing Ltd.

“The rebranding is really the finishing touch to what has been a process of integration and consolidation over the last year and it makes sense for us to be now trading under our parent company’s worldwide brand. The result is a bigger organisation with a huge range of titles across all genres, effectively providing a one stop shop for all software needs.”

GSP was founded in 1994, publishing and distributing titles on behalf of brands such as Disney, BBC, Sega and Dorling Kindersley.
