Google has fired the employee who leaked a story that the company was to give its entire workforce a ten per cent pay rise.
According to CNN Money, despite the fact that the employee leaked ‘good’ news he was identified and had his contract terminated within a matter of hours.
Although the company refused to comment directly on the matter, a statement was released, which read: “While we don't typically comment on internal matters, we do believe that competitive compensation plans are important to the future of the company.”
