Good month for motherboard makers

Good month for motherboard makers Tier-one motherboard manufacturers had a good October with Asustek, Gigabyte, MSI and ECS all reporting growth in their consolidated revenues of over 20 per cent.

ECS recorded the highest growth with its revenues climbing over 81 per cent year-on-year, at £145 million during October. Asustek also had a good month with October revenues up year-on-year by 46.7 per cent to £1.01 billion.

Gigabyte also had a good quarter with its revenues up 37.5 per cent year-on-year for the month of October with its total revenues for the month reached £67.7 million. MSI was just shy of 25 per cent growth, but still managed to make £147 million during the month.

While it's clear that motherboard manufacturers are having a massively successful time with major demand for new computers around the globe, it isn't clear how much they are making in profit from the sales.
