Japanese giants, Canon, Matsushita and Hitachi, are about to conclude an alliance over flat panel displays according to Nikkei.net.The agreement will allow Canon to take a quarter of the shares of Hitachi Displays, with all three companies planning to design and create LCD and OEL panels. The deal is still not confirmed, yet an announcement is expected as early as next week.
Hitachi, however, has moved to deny the reports with a brief statement that said: “No decision as reported has been made.”
