UK distributor Gem is to sponsor the PC Retail Awards after-show party.Gem's managing director Chris Peacock is already looking forward to the event: "Gem is delighted to be a principle sponsor of the first ever PC Retail awards. The event will recognise the innovative approach and achievements of many companies throughout the expanding IT retail channel.

The PC Retail awards will take place at the Cafe Royal in the West End of London on Thursday March 13th. The finalists will be announced in the December issue of PC Retail, due to hit desks on Thursday, December 6th. The ultimate winners will be decided by an independent panel of 75 industry insiders.
