Gem has appointed Richard Fox as its new IT director, reporting directly to European managing director Chris Peacock.
Fox most recently worked at London-based distributor CMS Peripherals, where he was responsible at a senior level for IT strategies along with heading up sales and commercial teams.
He also previously held similar positions at Savills, Adecco, and Connectology.
Peacock commented: “The key to Richards success will be to support and shape Gem’s vision and objective’s by delivering an integrated, flexible and scalable IT solution that will work well to provide value for the business internally, but also offer the same benefit externally to Gem’s customers and suppliers.
"We are extremely excited to have Richard on board and believe he will deliver the results.”
