Fujitsu has announced that it has developed a hard drive that is designed for 24-hour continuous use.
Intended for use in industrial equipment such as ATMs, POS systems and medical equipment, as well as enterprise applications including entry-level servers and storage systems, the new MHY2 BS series of 2.5-inch hard disk drives are designed with up to 200GB of capacity. The drives come with disk speeds of 5,400RPM and have serial ATA2 interfaces.
They are due to go on sale from August.
