Freecom has stated that Entatech's access to key buying groups was one of the main reasons behind the deal between the two companies.
Speaking about the deal, Freecom's UK channel manager David Pye said: "With access to the top buying groups, as well as niche industrial players throughout the UK, EntaTech is an ideal choice of partner for us as we begin to step into new markets. By combining our diverse product range with EntaTech’s expertise in this sector, this should prove to be a very successful partnership for us both."
Group vice president at EntaTech, Jon Atherton claimed that the deal made sense for both companies. "The company has a great product line and strong reputation within the industry, which truly help it stand out from the crowd and make it the perfect addition to our existing product portfolio.
"We live in a society highly dependent on information – this, coupled with the fact that all businesses need reliable and secure storage means we are in a strong position to capitalise on this market," added Atherton.
