Foxconn is aspiring to become the second largest motherboard brand worldwide in the next three years, according to reports from Chinese-language newspaper, Economic Daily News.According to the report, the move comes after the firm went on a recruitment drive to hire several senior marketing executives.
If successful, the move would see the brand displace Gigabyte, ECS and MSI from their current positions in the top four.
Executives however, conceded that it would be extremely unlikely that the company could surpass the current leader, Asustek, in the time scale thanks to it shipping over 20 million branded motherboards a year.
