Distributor Exertis Micro-P has hired former BlackBerry executive Nick Rumsby to work within its mobile team.
He has been appointed business manager for Samsung Mobile at the distributor, and is tasked with supporting the Samsung Mobile sales team through to supply and purchasing plus stock management.
Rumsby will report directly to Exertis Micro-P’s head of mobile devices Ewan Davies. He hopes to increase Samsung sales with ‘tighter integration of resources and increased focus on the marketplace’.
Rumsby previously worked as EMEA service development manager at smartphone specialist BlackBerry.
He said: "I am very pleased to have joined the Exertis Micro-P team; it’s a great fit for my skills and experience, and everyone has been very welcoming.
"I hope to add to the wealth of expertise here at Exertis Micro-P and to increase sales of Samsung’s mobile devices across the channel."
