Record-breaking PC game Football Manager 2014 has shot to the top of the UK’s boxed budget PC chart after its price was slashed.
The Sega-published title had an SRP of £44.99 when it launched last October but was generally available from retailers for around £30. It is now priced at around £10 in various retailers including Amazon.co.uk.
Last month Football Manager 2014 broke the recordfor the most weeks spent at number one in the UK PC full-price game chart, when it recorded 22 weeks at number one – 18 of those consecutively.
The other new entrant in the budget top ten this week was EA’s SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow which reached number six.
Elsewhere in the budget PC chart, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Battle Chest at number 17 recorded its 222nd week in the chart.
The full-price chart remained largely the same as last week, with Battlefield 4 at number one, followed by Rome: Total War II and The Elder Scrolls Online.
