First 4K G-Sync monitor announced by Acer

The Acer XB280HK is the first 4K monitor that also features Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.

With a 28-inch TN display with 3849×2169 resolution, the monitor’s G-Sync feature allows it to adaptively adjust its frame-rate to sync to the video card.

Other features include four USB 3.0 ports, anti-glare coating, flicker free backlight, 170/170 degree viewing angles, and screen tilt from -5 to 35 degrees.

The Acer XB280HK 4K G-Sync monitor is scheduled to ship in the second half of 2014. There is currently no pricing information.

PCR recently reported on the first monitor to feature Nvidia’s G-Sync technology – the AOC g2460Pg.

AOC told PCR that the 24-inch display will cost £359.

"We expect the elite and competition gamers to take this technology rapidly," Paul Butler, AOC’s UK and Ireland regional sales director, commented.

"Forecast on sales currently stands at several hundred units per month in the UK alone.

Originally set for release by the end of May, the AOC monitor will now be available during the summer.
