Facebook is due to reveal a number of changes to its messaging system today, including a new full-blown email service, reports suggest.
A source told Reuters that the changes would be "across the board", while TechCrunch claims a web-based email product will be launched to rival the likes of Hotmail and Google’s Gmail. Users will be able to register for an @facebook.com address.
Facebook has not responded to the rumours, however, it has invited reporters to a press event in San Francisco today, which it says is ahead of CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s talk at the Web 2.0 conference tomorrow.
