Facebook has released a new iOS application which also targets the larger screen of the Apple iPad.
The long-awaited iPad application features integration with other iOS applications such as launching web pages and viewing images within the photo album. Previously iPad owners had to make do with a web-based view of the social networking site.
Other features include multi-touch UI design feature tap, slide and pinch actions, Facebook games and a new navigation system which shows notifications without switching screens.
The new application also integrate's Apple's Airplay which allows the user to send video and images to televisions connected via an Apple TV.
The Facebook iPad app can be downloaded from iTunes.
