Exertis Micro-P appoints Acer public sector business manager

Colin Macfarlane has been appointed as Acer public sector business manager at Exertis Micro-P, where he will specialise in the education sector.

Macfarlane will work closely with public sector team leader Clare Spindler and work in partnership with reseller partners to provide offers and advice to schools, universities and academies about the latest Acer products available via Exertis Micro-P.

Commenting on his appointment, Macfarlane said: “There is a considerable amount of potential in education as institutions see the benefits that come from deploying the latest ICT solutions and I’m looking forward to working with our reseller partners to fulfil it while promoting the Acer brand.”

Simon Barnard, general manager of Exertis Micro-P’s computing division, said: “Colin has received a very enthusiastic welcome from the business. His knowledge of the public sector, in particular the education channel, will be invaluable to us as we look to build on the fantastic foundations that we already have in place. As a business we have massive growth aspirations for next year. I am confident that Colin will help us deliver against these goals and that our reseller community and internal sales teams will benefit from his knowledge and experience.”
