Exertis hires two Midwich execs as part of office automation push

Distributor Exertis has announced two senior appointments to further its advance into the office automation (OA) and document scan markets.

Alistair Coyne and Theresa Downes are the latest recruits to join the Exertis print business, and both previously worked at IT and AV supplier Midwich (which has recently gone on a hiring spree).

Alistair takes responsibility for the overall OA and document scan strategy, whilst Theresa will manage the Samsung strand of the OA business.

The OA and document scan team provides products and services from vendors such as Samsung, OKI and Lexmark.

Exertis provides additional services for resellers looking to grow in the growing OA market, including pre-delivery inspection and configuration, finance options and supply of higher end product from stock.

Jamie Brothwell, Exertis’ print general manager, said: "The specialist OA team has grown rapidly since we entered the market three years ago. The appointment of Alistair and Theresa is the latest investment in a team that is constantly looking to provide resellers with additional products and services that enable them to increase their ability to service their customers’ across OA and all print solutions.

"Needless to say, I’m delighted to welcome Alistair and Theresa to Exertis, and I know their combined experience and knowledge will significantly fuel our future success in the corporate OA, document scan and large capacity print market.”
