Exertis has announced that it will donate eight new Dell tablets to the TechAid programme in Ghana.
The distributor will be giving eight Dell Venue 11 7130 tablets configured with Windows 8.1 to help improve education standards for children.
Working in conjunction with the Sabre Trust, Exertis is helping to raise funds to build a school and donate IT equipment.
Exertis is also encouraging vendors, resellers and other distributors to team up and raise funds for the charity.
Simon Barnard, general manager, computing division, at Exertis, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the response to TechAid and the worthwhile initiative it serves.
"The project has had several landmark moments since its start, and now as the project progresses every day gets more exciting.”
In December 2014, Exertis also announced a £50,000 donation to TechAid, and the OLA Kindergarten school is due for completion in September 2015.
Aubrey Malcolm-Green, co-founder and trustee of the Sabre Charitable Trust, added: “We are delighted to receive such a generous donation from Exertis.
“Supporting and adequately resourcing a growing team that works in a varied and demanding environment has presented us with IT challenges, which this donation will go a long way to relieve.”
Excalibur Communications also previously donated eight Dell Latitude 3540s to the charity last year.
