Security software vendor adds weight to self-publishing platform

Eset signs up to SoftWide

Eset has signed up to Tribeka’s SoftWide system, bolstering a growing list of big name publishers including Microsoft and Norton.

SoftWide allows consumers to print software themselves via a kiosk style booth in-store, dramatically enhances the number of lines available on a shop floor, since all stock is digital. A retailer can also take online orders, negating the need for a warehouse full of stock.

ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus is now available through all retailers signed up to SoftWide – the largest of which is Tesco.

"One of the biggest challenges in retail is predicting what the public want to buy from one day to the next and ensuring that it is in stock," says Amanda Davies, Retail Channel Manager of ESET UK. "Tribeka’s on-site publishing model eliminates this issue, whilst enabling considerable cost savings on storage and stock management. This, combined with providing an entry point into major high street retail outlets, makes Tribeka’s innovative distribution model a very attractive proposition to ESET."
