Anticipation is growing for Channel Expo 2008, as the number of registered resellers reaches the 1,500 mark and 55 exhibitors have confirmed stands at the forthcoming UK trade show. One of the key highlights of the event, which takes place from Wednesday May 21st to the Thursday May 22nd in Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre, will be the education programme, based on CRN's How To Sell supplement.
The event will feature a keynote speech from Nick Leeson – the now legendary stockbroker who is credited with bringing down Barings Bank – on the subject of risk taking and the importance of implementing proper control processes.
"I am delighted and overwhelmed by the registration numbers so far for Channel Expo 08. We have over 1,500 resellers registered already for May's event and that figure is increasing every day," said Mark Burton, channel associate publisher at event organiser Incisive Media.
"This response really demonstrates the need for an event of this kind in the industry. The 2007 event demonstrated just how well an integrated ICT channel event can work; our aim is to build on this success.
"The show will enable exhibitors both to strengthen their existing customer relationships and cultivate new leads. Equally it will allow buyers to gain an overview of the most exciting developments within this space."
