Device is Hannspree’s first wearable gadget to hit the market

Entatech to distribute Smart Sports Watch from Hannspree

Hannspree’s first wearable tech device – the Smart Sports Watch – is available exclusively through distributor Entatech UK.

The gadget monitors and assists in everyday activities such as sleep, exercise, diary management and mobile phone communications, and is priced at £29.99.

An on-board pedometer will count how many steps the user is taking throughout the course of a day and feeds the information through to them in real-time via the OLED screen. It will also inform them how many calories they are likely to have burned and the distance travelled.

The new Hannspree Sports Watch also includes Bluetooth connectivity so it can be synced with a smartphone, plus a free app also lets users review collected data.

The Sports Watch can also store up to 20 days of data before it needs to be synced, and can charge in less than an hour via USB, providing battery power for eight to ten days.

Syncing a smartphone via Bluetooth also means the Hannspree Sports Watch can be used to alert users of incoming calls and messages, and set reminders (a vibrate setting lets users receive alerts and alarms discretely).

It can be worn either as a watch on a wrist, or using the supplied necklace band, can be worn around the neck.

Hannspree says customers can expect to see more exciting product launches throughout 2015.

Martin Kent, UK territory manager at Hannspree, commented: “We are working exclusively with Entatech to launch a number of products over the coming months. Thanks to their proactive attitude they are extremely effective at introducing new products quickly to market, a trait that has recently contributed to the successful launch of the Hannspree PC on a Stick.

"We are also extremely confident in the level of service and experience that Entatech has to offer.”
