UK system integrator Elonex has said that it believes Carphone Warehouse has the potential to become the largest vendor of laptops and sub-notebooks within 12 months.Speaking following the announcement that the firm had signed a deal with the retailer that will see its own sub-notebook, the One, sold exclusively through its stores, marketing director Nick Smith told CRN's Doug Woodburn: "We were asked by five or six of our major retailers, including two supermarkets, to supply them exclusively.
"However, it is our belief that Carphone Warehouse will be the largest supplier of notebook PCs and UMCs within 12 months," he added.
The retailer will be made available for free with a mobile broadband contract.
