Ebuyer working on buying team restructure

Ebuyer is planning to restructure its buying teams.

Sources say there have been changes made to the buying teams, with the creation of a dedicated imports and Far East buying team.

PCR previously understood that that the restructure may involve redundancies, but Ebuyer has said that the proposed restructure has not resulted in any layoffs.

"There have been people who have left the team, however, these were for reasons that have nothing to do with the restructuring," a spokesperson said.

Ebuyer recently sponsored a series of tech-focused workshops in UK schools.

Last month it engaged in a war of words with Overclockers over the potential opening of High Street stores. Ebuyer also trialled physical sales at the Gadget Show Live earlier this year, but said that it was ‘still a long way’ from opening stores.
