Ebuyer rival Newegg set to launch UK site in March

US electronics etailer Newegg.com is rumoured to be preparing to launch in the UK and Europe next month.

The company – which would rival the likes of Ebuyer, Dabs, Scan and Overclockers in the UK – expects to start trading on our shores at the end of March, reports Engadget.

However, it’s said to be a soft launch for now as the etailer finds its feet in the UK channel.

Newegg.com has 25 million registered users and 8.5 million subscribers to its email mailing list.

The company has a presence at Mobile World Congress 2014 which takes place in Barcelona this week. Newegg re-tweeted a post on Twitter earlier today confirming it is ‘heading into international waters’.

PCR has contacted Newegg for confirmation on when it is planning to launch in the UK.
