Almost half of the apps currently being tested on iPads are games, according to a mobile analytics firm.
Flurry has produced a pie chart of apps being currently tested on iPad hardware running the iPhone 3.2 OS, for tech site AppleInsider. 44 per cent of those were found to be games.
Entertainment is the next largest category with 14 per cent, followed by social networking (seven per cent), sports (six per cent) and travel (five per cent).
Only three per cent of apps tested on the iPad are books - although with Apple planning to sell dedicated e-books through its iBookStore, that is no surprise.
The iPad is due to go on sale in the US on 3 April, with a UK launch planned for later that month.
