2K Games confirms return of massively popular gaming franchise

Duke Nukem Forever confirmed

The swathes of speculation surrounding the resurrection of Duke Nukem Forever – one of the most talked about titles in gaming history – was finally confirmed at 2K’s PAX event on Friday night.

Announced through Twitter, probably the most interesting bit of information was that the game is complete and ready to play, though it will be polished by new developer Gearbox Software before a launch next year.

The sequel to Duke Nukem 3D has been in development for an unprecedented 13 years, and the news that is practically finished will come as a great relief to the gamers that have been waiting with baited breath for so long.

As well as the PC version, the game, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will go on sale.
