DSGi to sue own legal advisors

DSGi to sue own legal advisors

DSGi is to sue its legal advisors Denton Wilde Sapte, as it alleges that the firm was ‘negligent’ in its handling of the termination of property leases in France.

According to Retail Week, the law firm was hired to assist in closing down DSGi’s French business PC City France. However, when attempting to terminate the lease for one of its warehouses, Denton Wilde Sapte served the break notice on the wrong landlord, costing DSGi an estimated €839,000 as a result of the mistake along with interest and damages.

Denton Wilde Sapte has acknowledged that it served the notice to the wrong landlords, but has blamed the mistake on DSGi and its advisers.
