DSGi has signed a deal with Dell that will see the retailer sell the vendor's entire range of computers in its stores, including PC World, Currys and Currys.digital, as well as online through dixons.co.uk from this January.The deal will see the vendor's range also sold through the chain's extensive network of European stores including Electro World, PC City and Elkjop.
In the UK, TechGuys services will be extended across the entire Dell range, providing customers with full IT customer service, including telephone support, installation and set-up.
Speaking about the deal, DSGi's chief executive, John Browett said: "Customers are at the heart of what we do and we must offer our customers an unbeatable combination of value, choice and service. By adding Dell computers to our ranges, we can give customers in our 1300 stores across Europe another highly sought-after range of products and the experience to match it."
The point was echoed by DSGi's global purchasing director, Simon Turner: "The agreement between Dell and DSGi as pan-European retail partners, confirms our specialist market leadership and we continue to offer a vast computer range at great prices to our customers in store and online."
Dell's vice president and general manager for Dell's EMEA consumer business operations added: "This partnership with DSGi means that consumers in nearly all major European countries can purchase Dell products through these stores.
"To maximize choice, Dell is offering a full portfolio of our award-winning products – from our high-end gaming systems, to notebooks and desktops that are perfect for everyday computing. With this agreement, consumers in Europe will have more choice than ever before, and experience the look and feel of our products before purchasing."
