DSG International has reported that quarterly sales for Currys and PC World fell by 16 per cent and 15 per cent respectively.
According to ERT, total group sales fell by six per cent in pounds sterling, and like-for-like sales declined by six per cent as well.
“Given the challenging environment, this is an encouraging start to the year,” commented DSGi’s chief executive John Browett.
“Our Nordic business is performing strongly, the UK transformation continues on plan with the refurbished stores continuing to outperform and the Italian turnaround is starting to deliver. We remain cautious about the economic outlook.”
