Dixons Retail is to offer after-sales services, including repairs and installation.
According to ERT, the group, which incorporates Currys, PC World and Dixons, will offer its Knowhow services to manufacturers, other retailers and the general public.
TVs and laptops will be the focus of the repair service, but this is expected to b broadened to other product categories over time.
“This is not simply a rebranding exercise – it is a fundamental shift in our service offer,” said a Dixons spokesman.
“It is essentially a big part of the third pillar of the broader renewal and transformation plan launched in May 2008 – value, choice and service.”
