Storage solution manufacturer ioSafe has launched its ‘disaster proof’ external hard drive in the UK.
With capacities from 500GB to 1.5TB, the ioSafe Solo is designed for both home users and businesses wanting extra security and protection for their files and documents.
The device uses ioSafe’s patented technology such as HydroSafe waterproof barriers and the DataCast fireproof insulation, making it resistant to a range of extreme conditions.
According to the vendor, it is fireproof up to a temperature of 1550°F for half an hour and is waterproof to ten feet of fresh or salt water for three whole days.
The Solo, which weighs just 6.8kg, also works in up to 80 per cent non-condensing humidity and can be bolted or chained for security against theft.
‘FloSafe’ air flow cooling allows almost silent operation during normal use, while the USB 2.0 interface means it works via Plug and Play with any PC or Mac.
The ioSafe Solo is distributed in the UK by The Tech Bag.
